HPCIA September Land Use Meeting
This month we have one item on the agenda for Land Use which will be held via Zoom on September 15th at 7 pm.
538 Ethel Street: This agenda item regards V-26-100 which is pending before the BZA. Redevelopment proceeded on the property and the city has issued stop work orders and required new permits. The owner doesn’t agree with the city’s new permit requirements or the stop work order and is appealing these actions.
This is scheduled to go before NPU-E and the BZA next month. The owner, Kai Chu, would like to meet with the neighborhood to explain what he is doing with the property, answer any questions and is open to comments before they move further on this. It is highly recommended that you go look at the property to see what is going on before you get on the LUC call on the 15th so you have a better perspective of the status of the project.
There will be no vote on this as it is an appeal. However, depending on the outcome of the meeting and the information shared with Home Park, it may generate comments to be sent to the BZA regarding this property.
