February 13th Community Meeting

This meeting will start at 6:30 PM at the R. Kirk Landon Learning Center. We will cover a variety of topics including updates from the Board and hear any community concerns.

We’ll be kicking off our community meeting next Tuesday evening with a Public Safety brief by APD’s Zone 5 Commander, Major Schierbaum; and GTPD’s Chief of Police, Chief Connolly. We will also have our Community Prosecutor, Niaa Daniels attending.

APD and GTPD will provide an update to the neighborhood regarding the robberies that have been going on, what actions are being taken, and any other pertinent information. After that, the floor will be open for all of you to ask questions. Please plan on attending this important community meeting. Also, please pass this info to any neighbors who may not get our communications.

LOCATION: Because we believe we’ll have a higher attendance than usual, this meeting will be held at City of Atlanta Fire Station 11 at 16th and Fowler Streets. There is on street parking along Fowler and 16th.

Additionally, Community updates will be provided from our Board Chairs and a Presentation will be given on newly launched bike share program LimeBike in Atlanta. The Home Park Community Improvement Association meetings are open to all.

June 2017 – Community Meeting Recap

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Community Meeting on Tuesday, June 13th. HPCIA hosted a special community meeting where we celebrated one of our neighborhood gems and held a networking event. Founder and Head Chef, Zach Malloy Better Half Atlanta, made some specialty dishes and cocktails for Home Park residents and members. He also participated in a discussion where he shared insight into the story of how he and his wife, Cristina, created Better Half was founded and all of the effort that went into building it. I’ve added photos here and the video of our discussion with Zach will be on the site later. For more information on upcoming meetings, check out our events page.
